To Natasha and all of the Mont's Family, I worked with Melvin for many years and words cannot express how much I adored him!! I have such fond memories of his UCLA Retirement Party. He always, and I mean, ALWAYS had a smile on his face and was so positive and kind. When I heard of his sudden passing, I was deeply heartbroken for his family who I knew loved and cherished him. I pray for you Natasha and your children and for all of his brothers and sisters who know just what a special man he was. If more men were like Melvin, the world would be a much better place. But in light of that, all of us who knew Melvin at UCLA were fortunate to be apart of Melvin's life, he made our days brighter. I wish all of you peace and love. Natasha, I do not know you, but I lost my father seven years ago and it is one of the hardest and most difficult chapters in my life. Just know that there is someone in Los Angeles thinking and praying for you. Hug those little ones tight for Melvin and know that apart of him is in each of them. - MaryAnn Szyskowski, Apr 24, 2020

Sleep on Melvin, SLEEP On. To be absent from the Body, means to be Present with the LORD! With DEEPEST SYMPATHY and Condolences, Melvin was a Good Guy, always the Same. He will be missed. #WESTENDFORLIFE GET YOUR REST MELVIN.🌹🌹🌹 - Warnetta Bland Clingham, Apr 24, 2020

Melvin always had a huge smile on. The 10 years I worked with him, I never saw his face in any other expression. He usually greeted me the exact same way every time we met, "What up Valley Val, how's little man?" Melvin kept a picture of my son as baby in his laker's jumpsuit on his desk until the day he retired. His bubbly charismatic personality will always be remembered and he will always have a place in my heart. Love you Melly Mel. Rest easy my friend. - Val Cooks, Apr 24, 2020

My condolences to you Natasha & your family. I was so very sorry to hear this sad news. Please know that my thoughts & prayers are with you during this time. - Linda Anderson, Apr 26, 2020.

You were the very first man in my life. I compare all the men I meet to you. And if they didn't treat me like you, then they were out. I love you more than you could ever know. Growing up dad, we had a fun relationship. Even in adulthood, I still had fun with you. Loved being in your presence. Loved seeing you every time I came out to LA. Always excited when you would come to Atlanta. Every time. I just loved having you around dad. Our time together was cut so short. But I am happy with whatever God wants. I know you're still with me spiritually. I am so blessed to know that I have another angel watching over me. How blessed am I?! I love you daddy. I miss you. It gonna be hard getting used to you not being around, but I can still feel your spirit around, especially when singing MJ songs or songs that we liked. I really miss you. I still need you. Still needed you, but I guess God needed you more. As long as your spirit is around me dad, I think I'll be okay. I just need to feel you with me. That love I have for you is soooooooo strong, that even in your absence, my heart just grows even fonder and deeper for you. That will never change. I hope you can feel my vibrations because my love vibration for you is extremely high. Please be there waiting for me when it's my turn. I can't wait to see you again. Love Lil Tee!
